Powell Peralta O.G. Ray Rodriguez Skull & Sword Reissue Skateboard Decks

The Powell-Peralta "Skull & Sword" deck, designed by Ray Rodriguez, was the first pro signature deck graphic produced by the company in 1979. The artwork was conceptualized by Ray and illustrated by V.C. Johnson, with art direction from George Powell.

Initially, the deck was released in two distinct shapes: a 10" x 30" "Widetail" version and a 10" x 28.5" "Snub Nose." These decks were available in Brite-Lite Dayglo yellow, orange, purple, and green colors.

Over the years, the "Skull & Sword" graphic was produced in various other colors, and a Powell-Peralta logo was later added. In 1983, Ray's signature was removed and replaced with a Powell-Peralta script logo.

The iconic "Skull & Sword" graphic was not limited to just the skateboard deck; it was also used for T-shirts and stickers, further expanding its reach and popularity among skaters.
