The Cab Chinese Dragon Artwork was created in 1986, just in time for the filming of the Animal Chin video. After a six-year run, it was time for Caballero to change up the deck graphic. The new dragon graphic, inspired by a Chinese takeout box, was finally illustrated by Vernon Courtlandt Johnson (VCJ).

The Cab Chinese Dragon was available in both full-size and mini versions, featuring a unique "fish" shape. The decks were constructed using 7-ply maple and "Bonite" construction, and were discontinued in 1987.

Powell-Peralta has since re-issued the Cab Chinese Dragon deck as part of their collection, closely reproducing the original 1980s design. These re-issue decks feature the original Pro graphics and shape, top graphic logo, and concave, all manufactured in the company's Santa Barbara skateboard factory, which is still directed by some of the same craftsmen who made the original decks.
