The Hot Rod Flames Artwork is a modern classic, with a shape design by Santa Barbara ripper Mike Kreski and flames graphic created by Jim Knight, two old vert dogs that rode the deck exclusively for years. Originally released in the early 90's, the Hot Rod Flames Artwork was created by Jim "Nitro" Knight. These Powell-Peralta re-issue decks are close reproductions of their 1980's counterparts, featuring the original Pro graphics and shape, top graphic logo, and concave.

The deck is made with U.S. hard rock maple and glue that meets the company's specifications, warranted against delamination for their useful life. The shape and graphics were created in Santa Barbara, CA, and the deck is made in partnership with the company's facilities in Mexico.
